Red Hat Enterprise MRG Beta Schedule

This page provides information related to the beta of Red Hat Enterprise MRG. For example, this will describe package updates and other release milestone information.

• The MRG beta begins on December 6, 2007. Refer here for access information: http://www.redhat.com/mrg/getmrg/
• There will be a series of package updates over the course of the beta. This page will provide related information. Announcements will also be posted to the mail list which can be subscribed to here: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhemrg-users-list
• The official product shipment date has not yet been designated in more detail than early CY 2008.

Anticipated Upcoming Changes

Red Hat Enterprise MRG has 3 components contained in the beta Messaging, Realtime and Grid. The following updates are expected during the beta in each specific area.

• Realtime
  • Issues found or latency/ performance improvement if identified will be included in updates

• Messaging:
  • 3 Additional modules
    • Clustering module for FT and stripped queues
    • Usage of native OFED Infiniband stack
    • Management Console (which will also provide realtime statistics)
  • Update to the published version of AMQP 0-10. MRG messaging currently uses the last voted set of updates (from the AMQP working Group) prior to the beta close down) However, will be updated to the 0-10 version once published by AMQP working group.
  • Full statistics/ performance profiles will be provide on an update after AMQP 0-10 is published by the working group, and tuning has been completed by Red Hat and our Partners. Significant increases are expected during the beta period.

• Grid:
  • Any patches from Condor 6.9.5 to 7.0 will be applied in updates
